Open letter to Bishop OL Meadows
Dear Bishop Meadows,
One week ago we received a shocking collection of videos and pictures depicting a superintendent under your charge engaged in explicit sexual activity with a young woman in his congregation. According to an accompanying letter, you and several executive staff have received the same information. You received the first letter in March and a follow up letter in July but there has been no action.
According to the letters, this married superintendent carried on a six year sexual relationship with this younger woman while he was in office in your jurisdiction. After becoming remorseful about having sex with a man who was supposed to be pastoring her, she informed him that she would leave the church so that she could recover and get back into the will of God. He advised her that she would be “out of the will of God” if she left his church. Nevertheless she finally summoned up the will to leave and stayed away for 8 months. Then his phone calls started again and he seduced her back into his evil desires.
The woman in her letter said that she became pregnant and the first response from your superintendent was an order for her to kill the child before he/she was born (abortion). There’s also evidence of this conversation. Upon this information being reported to you by phone, you made promises that you would take action and “sit him down for three months”. While this is woefully inadequate discipline given the extent and nature of these charges, it is what you said you would do. However to date, despite overwhelming evidence of his guilt, you have taken no actions and this sexually immoral man remains in office with no disciplinary actions against him.
Sir, as a bishop of over 20 years now, you do not need Report COGIC Abuse to instruct you on how to administrate the office of a bishop to which you were consecrated. Those stipulations are clearly outlined in the Constitution of the church which you are bound to uphold. Moreover, if there were no constitution, the bible is clear in its scope of disciplinary responses to sexually immoral in our midst.
Bishop Meadows, we ask you sir to take no further delay in dealing righteously with the matter. The longer you delay, the more your own credibility comes into question. The Presiding Bishop has said that he is adamant about repairing the serious breach of sexual ethics and morality in the Church of God in Christ clergy ranks. Here is a clear opportunity for you to demonstrate that as well.
We are in contact with the plaintiff who is also considering MORE legal action against the church. Perhaps you ignoring her has unnecessarily pushed her to have to take these measures. Do you want to be responsible for the church having yet another sex-based lawsuit to defend itself against?
We hope that this letter will spur you to do what is right.
1. Remove this wicked and immoral man from office pending an investigation by a duly appointed, unbiased committee.
2. Demand that the perpetrator submit to a paternity test to determine whether he is the father of the child.
3. Enjoin him from contacting the plaintiff for any reason.
4. Communicate with the plaintiff specifically what actions you have taken in this matter.
If you and your staff continue to ignore this situation as many bishops have done in past situations, RCA may begin publishing the details of this situation including names, letters, audio, pictures and video of your naked superintendent with his head in between the legs of this woman. Please do not misconstrue this as a threat. It is not. Your concern for the welfare of the church, this man’s wife and an innocent child should outweigh your desire to protect this wolf.

COGIC Abuse Watch 
If Jesus doesn’t come quickly…the very elect will be lost! God help this church!
Whatever happened to living a righteous, holy, Godly life ? COGIC has to ethically cleanse itself of these leaders that mislead by example and bring shame to themselves and the church. What’s done in the dark, will come to the light. “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:13 (NIV)
I would like to believe there is hope, but there seems to be lacking a consistent resolve to purge itself of leaven. Perhaps leaven has in some way become lucrative and thus the muted corporate reaction.
The devil is always moving to and fro to see who he may devour….Taking out a man or woman of God especially those in the offices of the church is a mighty feat for him. We all wrestle with our flesh and should not cast a stone upon this man but allow the grace of God to bring him to restoration. Yes he should step down and deal with this issue….but he should not be crucified …. Jesus already did that for us all. Pray and intercede for Gods invention….God is still on the throne and can do all things. We have all falling short of the glory of God….we have all sinned…. Love him back to God. Well this is my opinion on the situation. They both play a part in this terrible situation. Now, often times, people forget that pastors are still human. His flesh got the best of him. This article makes the woman seem so young,when in fact, she is in her thirties, which she was well aware of what she was doing, especially for six years. Also, during this time frame, the woman was also in a relationship with the pastor’s daughter. How does that make her look? She was also a friend of the pastor’s wife, constantly over their home and taking his wofe places. My heart weeps for her. It just doesn’t seem right, that the young woman had pictures and videos of their sexually activity. Sounds fishy! Because while she is putting the pastor out there for his wrongdoings, she herself, is looking [edited]. No one can make you do something that you are not willing to do and for six years she allowed him in between her thighs. She probably had the notion that once she got pregnant, that he was going to leave his wife, for her. When he said that he would not, she got upset and decided to put their relationship out there, like a woman scorned.
I believe everyone has a right to be restored but there is a way it must be done. This Pastor asked the Deacon. “Isn’t repentance the same as restoration”. Wow, there seems to be a lack of knowledge going on to me. How can you rightly divide the word if you can’t understand the difference in the two words. They are totally different. You cannot restore yourself. Only God can. Repentance is a mindset . You first have to acknowledge your sin being sorrowful, then turn from it and STOP doing it. 2chr. 5:17. This man was sorry he got caught. Be sure your sin will find you out. We have all sinned. This man is arrogant and has constantly denied he ever had a relationship with this woman. He was warned of the evidence back in January and consistently lied and denied anything ever happened between the two of them. This young lady has been to several leaders in the church reaching out for help over the years. She was told over and over again that she is a lier, and need to repent. I think anyone who goes to the extreme of this kind of embarrassment should be commended. She simply wanted help and a way out. We are always upholding wrong unless its our daughter or grandchild. Yes, she was wrong but she steady admitted her wrong. He has lied from the get and continues to lie and deceive. There is going to be a day of reckoning and we can’t be par takers in sin. This Pastor has not only had relations with this girl she is only one in the many young girls who have been manipulated and used. I know of a young lady who wanted to commit suicide because he forced his self on her. People who comment on things need to first know the person and their character. This man is a predator and need to be stopped. I pray our leaders are in because COGIC has paid out millions but what about the souls that have been damaged, money can’t pay for that. What about that person who will never enter the gates of Zheaven because they don’t trust preachers anymore. There are casualties to these indiscretions that out weigh money. Stop advocating and using excuses that preachers are human. They are called to a higher calling. Excuses are only the skin of a LIE!!
I am not making an excuse for him. I’m simply saying that how can you sleep with someone for six years and you didn’t want..and to pass the video of them around town.
Per the constitution of the COGIC, he is to be held liable because he accepted a position of leadership and authority over God’s people. Thats what this is about. Leaders are held to a higher standard of conduct because of the power of their authority. This pastor knows this and should have disciplined his flesh so that he would not bring shame upon the church and upon the name of the Lord. The best thing he could do now, if he is really a Christian is to resign, go away and get help for his sexual addictions.
If there are other women who have been sexually harmed by this pastor, I would encourage them to come forward now and let their voices be heard.
Well , seems like this Pastor is up to the old trick he pulled back when he was accused of allegations in North Mississippi. The word is that he is trying to rally folk to vote to not go into the Alabama jurisdiction. Bishop Meadows will have a vote to see if the church would like to join his district. The church was told they were in Alabama but evidently the Pastor did not follow thru on the paperwork. ( hummm) . Therefore the church has to vote whether to stay independent or join Alabama along with the sister church Reform Temple . I really don’t understand the protocol of the church. The people did vote to join Alabama but the Bishop said there has to be a 21 day waiting period to allow all members to be notified. I guarantee you the vote will be if different at the next meeting. The Pastor has been allowed to sit in the front of the church during all services facing the people sitting along side the Deacons. The vote to elect trustees were mostly in his favor coming in at number 2. I have heard of cults and people being brainwashed but this has gone to a new level. How in the world do you vote someone back into an office that has mishandled the church funds to where this church has almost defaulted on the loan? How do you even put trustee with there name? This world is definitely coming to an end. Lord if you don’t come quickly there won’t be a soul going back. This is what you call a toxic church. When the members start following a man rather than God. I understand you love your leader, but do you love him enough o sacrifice your morals and values? What about your soul? This Pastor is manipulative, controlling, arrogant, and self righteous . I plead with anyone that is under this ministry/cult to run, run for your life. Prov. 29:2, When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule the people mourn. I really hope and pray this church do the right thing and get with Bishop Meadows. There is no trust to be put into a man who runs when discipline comes. Put no confidence in man”

all the blame is being cast on the pastor, but the woman is not without guilt as well. She is scandalous.

This woman is not a little girl. She is in her 30s and is not being raped, forced, or made to do things against her will. She is old enough to say no and walk away. The key thing in this matter, that pastor is the one that is confessing to be saved, sanctified, baptised, and filled with the Holy Ghost. He is the one up preaching holiness or hell, not her. He is the one in the high position and has responsibilities. That’s why he is under scrutiny and not so much her. But again, scandelous or not, she is not the one in position. She will have to answer to God for her role in this consenting situation. He will have to answer to the church and to God.
This is the reason other women won’t come forward. They fear the scrutiny, and judgement from others that don’t have a clue as to how satan works. If you are in a vulnerable state, weak minded and your Pastor starts making moves on you it’s not that easy to accuse him. You must remember those members love him and don’t think he’s capable of such acts. Unfortunately in this instance this young lady has went to several members in the church reaching out for help. She was constantly told your a lie and you need to repent. This man is in an authority position . He abused is authority for selfish gain. I don’t care how you fix it up that she was grown she could have been 75 years old and know better but when a leader steps out of the realm of a Pastor he just stepped out of the will of God and became a sinner.
Well Well, pastor Hutton it’s time to man up. You need to go to the hospital and get swabbed. Why do you preach to everyone take care of your children if you don’t take care of your own. You didn’t deny yourself not one pleasure when it came to making the baby. It don’t matter your financial situation. The IRS may have your accounts and such tied up but you are still liable to your responsibilities. How is it that this man seems to get away with everything but betcha didn’t get away from Uncle Sam. You are using people for your own personal gain. I am so frustrated with this so called pastor. You are mocking the church and all it stands for. This man is so arrogant he put on the church reader board ” no weapon formed against me will prosper”. Talk about manipulation to its max. Well you may fool some of the people some of the time but you can’t fool all the people. God is watching you. I could never sit under someone so corrupt, deceitful and evil. You need to be called out, you need to be brought before the people and rebuked so they may fear. These people don’t fear God they fear you. These people have known of this mans sexual addiction for a long time and everyone uses the same excuse he does. ” we all have sinned”. It’s like the trade mark word for the church. What you have is a church full of clones. The church takes on the spirit of the leader. Well I don’t just talk amiss. Examples: one of the ministers have a baby by one of the young ladies at the sister church, another minister is sitting in the pulpit drunk half the time and he recently divorced his wife because he got their niece pregnant with twins. Another preacher there is as gay as a sunny Sunday morning well he go both ways. He divorced his wife and makes all kinds of sexual advances at the young girls there. Not to mention he was on the cover of Jacked magazine for stealing a Rolex watch from his then boss. Not to mention the pastor who has had numerous sexual relations with the women still in the congregation, the mismanagement of church finances and using church property for his own personal gain. God sees you and it’s time someone did something about it. Bishop Meadows need to know who this man really is it dont matter you have known him Over 30 years a snake is a snake 30 years ago or 30 minutes ago. He’s still the same low down dirty scheming deceitful enemy. Lets exposé the enemy now!!!!!!!!!
To whom ever reads this I am not going to say I am a victim to this Pastor Elder J.L. Hutton I would say more like an on going temptation that will never go away in his eyes! I not sharing this for sorrow or pity it just my output of the situation bc I have been apart of it since the age of at least 9yrs old and it 17 + yrs later! The young lady I know so very well and I feel exactly where she’s coming from no it not something I wanted to happen but In my younger ages I was scared to death bc I didn’t know how to tell anyone and coming from a home where situations like so was already occurring I thought at time no one cared not even the person who birth me! Pastor Hutton, is a very sexually minded individual I mean his whole pulpit is and still is like that! I can write a whole book on events of his sexual ways but just imagine it happenING inside the church while service is going on when he disappears,or n his office on furniture the people sit on, or hotel rooms! ALL I am saying is this man took my respect for him as a man and pastor and killed it! He want stop because he can’t stop! I’m glad he had only grandsons I fear for anyone around him especiallyyoung girls. To his wife M. I pray for you everytime I see u but I hope this gets to the Bishop signed a strong woman. !
